About Debra Wiess, Playwright
Debbie Wiess has been writing full-time since moving to Boston with her husband in 2000. She writes in English, as well as French, and splits her time between the theatre and cinema. She has developed a number of scripts independently and in collaboration with others. Her work has been presented throughout the country. She is very excited about participating in the OrdinaryEvil.info Project as a selected participant. with her play CUTS LIKE A KNIFE. The play, which is one of her first pieces, was selected by the Arlington Players last year and performed as a staged reading in its "Playwrights Quadrangle", a festival of short plays in Spring, 2005. It won best 10-minute play of the festival and will have a full production in Boston in June, 2006 as part of the Arlington Players Show Five (6 performances). In addition, to writing, she also directs, and occasionally acts.
