Introduction to technical theatre will provide students with a theoretical, as well as a practical overview of the elements of technical theatre. This would include the following: safety precautions, stage management, stage design, scenery, lighting, sound, acting, makeup, and costuming. Also included will be the discussion of job opportunities in theatre.

Technical Theatre Lab will provide students with practical applications of technical theatre. Students will obtain hands-on experience working on main stage productions, arena productions, and student-directed projects. They will assist in the following areas: safety precautions, state management, stage design, scenery, lighting, sound, make-up, and costuming.
